Projects

RES works with its clients to identify sustainable energy solutions focused on profitability. We do this by systematic and step-wise evaluations at our clients’ sites, identifying energy efficiency opportunities and innovative energy solutions including renewable energy development. For example in the mining sector, we identify areas for targeted improvements that may focus on efficiencies with heap leach, mill-flotation and coal mining operations.  Our work results not only in energy savings but also in GHG/carbon emissions savings.

To fulfill strategic energy analyses for our clients, RES completes systematic energy mapping, dissecting energy use and spending.  We identify appropriate innovations and opportunities for energy efficiency and renewable energy applications. Fuel and power usage are analyzed in detail, resulting in energy reductions that could be realized by management applications, process efficiencies, or strategic capital investments.

Projects and initiatives advancing at our clients’ sites include:

  • Implementing mining fleet fuel efficiency: At mine sites, proper fuel management leads to significant fuel savings, GHG/Carbon emissions reductions, and better profitability streams.
  • Developing utility-scale renewable power:  RES is a partner with Warm Springs Renewable Energy Corp. on a solar development project in central New Mexico. We develop strategies for renewable energy deployment, including distributed generation to offset mine-site power usage, as well as utility-scale opportunities.
  • Providing detailed GHG/carbon inventories: We analyze potential carbon costs and avoidance strategies, which help to align clients’ corporate sustainability goals while preparing companies for existing and forthcoming global carbon-GHG legislations.
  • Expanding field solutions: Working with industries, RES develops energy and carbon management strategies that augment existing initiatives in the field.
